Workforce Development

Trousdale County has experienced tremendous growth within the last five years, with more residents moving from other parts of Tennessee as well as other states. The county has an award winning local school system; and a Tennessee Center of Applied Technology (TCAT-Hartsville) that has 13 educational programs, as well as the ability to work with employers to offer specialized employee training programs.  The county is further served by Volunteer State Community College (Vol State), and is within an hour's drive of numerous four year colleges and universities

Industry looking to locate or expand within the county may contact the Mayor's Office at 615-374-2461, or the Tennessee Central Economic Authority (TCEA) for information on available sites, incentives, and demographic information.

Employers can access recruitment services via the Northern Middle Tennessee Workforce Development Board's American Job Center (AJC). Additional workforce data is provided by the Tennessee Valley Authority's Interactive Workforce Tool.
